Travel Directions

By Car

Coming from South or North on A19. 
Exit at Whitley Bay / Gosforth junction and take A191 roundabout exit towards Newcastle – this is 1st exit if coming from south or 4th exit if coming from north. Go straight across next roundabout and turn left at following roundabout (on to Whitley Road).  This is still A191. Continue straight across mini roundabout [ASDA store] and straight across next roundabout [after garage on left]. Continue for 500 metres and Whitley Park is on left with entrance road located about 50 metres before a set of double traffic lights.  

Coming from South on A1. 
Exit at North Gosforth / Wideopen junction and take middle lane on slip road through traffic lights then keep left on to roundabout. Take 2nd exit on to A1056 [short stretch of dual carriageway]. At next roundabout turn left on to single carriageway and keep to right hand lane for next roundabout. Take 2nd exit at this roundabout continuing on A1056. At next roundabout take 4th exit on to A189 [dual carriageway]. Go straight across  roundabouts and traffic light junctions until after mini roundabout a Metro Station appears on left. Keep in left lane and turn left at next main lights on to A191. This soon becomes Whitley Road. Go straight through 1st junction lights and after another 500 metres you will encounter set of double traffic lights. The entrance road to Whitley Park is on right, 50 metres beyond lights.  

Coming from the North on A1.
Exit at North Gosforth / Wideopen junction and take 1st round- about exit on to A1056 [short stretch of dual carriageway], then follow directions after this section for “coming South on A1” above.

Coming from West on A69. 
At A1 junction take 1st exit on to A1 [northbound] signposted to Morpeth. Then follow directions for “Coming from South on A1” above. 

 

By Rail then Taxi or by Rail & Metro

Main line rail to Central Station then Taxi
Ask for Blue Flames at Whitley Park on Whitley Road, NE12 9SF.

Main line rail to Central Station then Metro
From Newcastle Central Station take Metro to Benton Station. From platform go over footbridge and follow lane on to main road. Continue in same direction to traffic lights at T junction. Cross here – the entrance path to Blue Flames is signposted from the lights.  

 

By Air & Taxi or by Air & Metro

From Newcastle Airport by Taxi
Ask for Blue Flames at Whitley Park on Whitley Road, NE12 9SF.

From Newcastle Airport by Metro
From Airport Metro Station take train to Benton Station, changing trains (over the bridge) at South Gosforth Station. From platform at Benton Station go over footbridge and follow lane on to main road. Continue in same direction to traffic lights at T junction. Cross here – the entrance path to Blue Flames is signposted from the lights.
